Welcome to Jodie Carolyne Photography
My name is Jodie, a lover of the natural world, spending time out in the bush, being on safari and with my dogs. As a self taught photographer, I have taken the time to hone my skills, learn from other amazing photographers and experiment creatively.
Born in Australia's Top End, I spent my time out in the bush, driving down random dirt tracks, spending hours watching wildlife, it was and still is a place of calm serenity for me. I also like to travel, generally choosing destinations based on what I hope to capture with my camera. Some of my favourite destinations so far are Mana Pools, Maasai Mara and the Sossusvlei, all places in Africa, all unique with incredible wildlife sightings, beautiful cultures and stunning scenery. Safe to say Africa has dug its thorns in deep.
Currently I am located in Australia's North West and spend my weekends exploring the amazing rugged country the Pilbara has to offer and while nature photography is my passion, I have expanded recently to shooting corporate functions and capturing precious memories for local families.
At the moment I shoot with Canon. I have several bodies but the main two I use are 5D mk iii and 5D mk iv. Lens in my kit are as follows:
16-35mm f/2.8         24-70mm f/2.8           100mm f/2.8        70-200mm f/2.8      1.4x extender        2x extender      100-400mm f/4.5-5.6
I am always learning, trying to improve my photography and push myself creatively.  Preferring to capture my image how I envision it in camera with minimal post processing.
